You need the <a href="http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash" target="_blank">Flash 5</a> plugin to play this game.

PacMan History

The game was developed primarily by Namco employee Toru Iwatani with the original title was “pakku-man” - paku-paku describing the sound of mouth movement when widely opened and then closed.

First released in Japan under the title Puck-man, then for the North American market the name was changed to Pac-Man, as it was thought that vandals might change the P to an F.

But, “Puck Man” machines can be found throughout Europe.

My grandparent’s owned a pub when I was a kid. And the only thing better than an unlimited supply of maraschino cherries was the sit-down version of Pac-Man they had in the corner. :)
