Asteroids History

Conceived by Lyle Rains and programmed and designed by Ed Logg, Asteroids was released in 1979 by Atari Inc. It was one of the most popular and influential games of the Golden Age of Arcade Games, and also Atari’s best selling game of all time.

This online version of Asteroids was produced by Paul Neave.

Controls

Left arrow – Turn left
Right arrow – Turn right
Up arrow – Thrust
SpaceBar – Fire missile

P - Pause/unpause game
Q – Quit game
Shift key – Hyperspace
